School Update:
Terry Fox Run
That you to all the parent volunteers who joined us on our Terry Fox Run! I am so proud of our students, who demonstrated bravery and resilience in the rain to try like Terry and raise money for cancer research. We started the event with a schoolwide assembly featuring a guest speaker from the Terry Fox Foundation, Mitchell Shaw. Mitchell, 28, shared a powerful story with parallels to Terry’s, having been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a form of childhood bone cancer, in 2020. His inspiring journey helped us reflect on Terry’s legacy of courage and resilience before we began our school run.
Also, a huge thank you to our Gr. 5/6 student leaders who helped promote and plan our school run. If you did not get a chance to view the promotional video some of them created, you can follow the link below to view it.
Thanks to their efforts in promoting our school run, and through the generosity of our parent community, Cambrian Heights School raised $830 for cancer research in Terry Fox’s name!!
We are still accepting donations until the end of September, which you can do online by following the link below.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
On September 19th our online conference booking system opened up for our September 26th & 27th conference dates. If you have not yet booked a slot, you can do so through your MyCBE account. If you need support setting this up to access the online booking system or help with troubleshooting, please reach out to the school at 403-777-6150.
AMA School Safety Patrol Training
We are excited to have our Gr. 5/6 students continue the Cambrian Heights School tradition of supporting safe crossings in front of the school as AMA School Safety Patrollers. Together, as a community, we can ensure a safe and mindful environment by watching out for one another and being aware of our hardworking patrollers. Let’s all work together to keep everyone safe during drop-off and pick-up times!

A Message From Cambrian Heights Parent Council and Fundraising Society
Hello Cambrian Heights parents and guardians,
We are very pleased to announce that this year we will be running a new and exciting fall fundraiser!
We have partnered with a high-quality Okanagan orchard, Sun-Oka Fruit Farms, to sell their delicious farm-fresh apples. This century-old family farm has won all kinds of major awards for their fruit, including best apple in Canada for eight straight years! These are the highest quality apples available anywhere! Since we’re sourcing them directly from the farm, you get to buy them at below grocery store prices. Plus, with each box sold, Cambrian Heights will receive $8-$10 back! The funds we raise are so important for providing additional school resources that will enrich and enhance our kids’ academic, physical and social growth.
There are 2 apple varieties available - Ambrosia(10 lbs for $23.95) and Honeycrisp(10 lbs for 29.50).
Feel free to share this fundraiser with your friends and family. Everything is done online, so you won’t have to deal with any of the hassles of collecting money or keeping records. All you need to do is share your personal sales link via email or text message. It’s sweet and simple and only takes a couple minutes of your time. The best part is that you can earn up to $6 off per box of apples when others order off of your sales link! All orders must be in by Wednesday, October 9. Apples will be delivered to the school on Monday, October 21. Please email cambrian.schoolcouncil@gmail.com with any questions that you may have.
