 School Update:

Winter Concert Returning to Cambrian Heights School

We are excited to announce the return of our Winter Concert at Cambrian Heights School! In preparation, our Grade 3/4 teacher and resident music specialist, Heather Andrews, has invited students from grades 3-6 to join our school handbell choir, and rehearsals are already underway. As the Principal, I truly value the Winter Concert experience. It provides our students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, build confidence, and contribute to a shared celebration that brings our school community together. I’ve also heard from many parents who expressed how much they wanted a concert, and I’m happy to say that our staff is just as enthusiastic. We all believe the Winter Concert is a vital part of the elementary school experience, creating lasting memories for both students and families.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, December 12—we’ll be sharing more details about our Winter Concert after Remembrance Day

Learning About Diwali Through Student Voices

As we approach Diwali, we are excited to give our students who celebrate this important festival the opportunity to share their culture with the entire school community. Our Learning Leader, Rebecca Greig, has been working with students who celebrate Diwali to gather their stories, experiences and information that they feel is important for others to learn. Together, they are creating a short video that will showcase their insights and traditions, helping us all learn more about this celebration of light, joy, and community.  Thank you to Ms. Greig and all students who are participating in this project.
