School Update:

 Thank You to Our Volunteers!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Volunteer Tea this week! It was a joy to celebrate the incredible contributions of our volunteers with student performances from every grade team, including poetry readings, songs, a lively dance club routine, and a moving handbell performance.

Our Grade 6 student hosts did a fantastic job serving tea and treats, making the event even more special. Your time, care, and commitment make such a meaningful difference in our school community—thank you for all that you do!

 Casino Crew Came Through!

A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers who gave their time to support our Elbow River Casino fundraiser. Because of your efforts, we are projected to raise over $80,000 for our school – funds that directly enhance learning and enrichment opportunities for all students. Your generosity and commitment make a real impact, and we are so grateful!!

A special shout out to our Assistant Principal, Erin Laberee Lee, who stepped in to fill the final volunteer spot, working the night shift and wrapping up at 3:00 AM – only to show up the next morning here at the school, ready to go like it was any other day. That level of dedication to the community, our students, and this school speaks volumes!

I’m so proud and appreciative of the incredible staff and community we have at Cambrian Heights School.

Sir John Franklin Fine Arts Performance

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Sir John Franklin School for a special fine arts performance that showcased their Arts-Centered Learning Program. Their approach – learning in and through the arts – was on full display, highlighting how the arts can deepen understanding across all areas of the curriculum.

Our students enjoyed a musical performance from the school band and were especially entertained by the lively and creative improv group! Ask your child what their favorite part was – we’re sure they’ll have something fun to share!

Final Community Activity Day of the Year!

This week we wrapped up our final Community Activity Day (CAD), a special tradition we started this year where students from across the school regroup to build connections, collaborate, and have fun together. Rooted in our school’s core values – Respect, Bravery, and Honesty – CAD is designed to strengthen our sense of community while giving students a chance to learn and lead in new ways.

Activities were engaging, creative, and filled with school spirit, with students earning House Points along the way for demonstrating our core values. Be sure to check out our CAD bulletin board near the foyer to see photos of the amazing activities and connections our students made!

Ask your child about one new connection they made or a highlight from their CAD group experience!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Incredible Community…

 Dear Cambrian Heights School Families,

I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support we received for our Elbow River Casino fundraiser, organized by our dedicated School Council. Because of your generosity and willingness to step up, they have filled almost every volunteer spot needed to secure nearly $80,000 in funding for our school. I cannot thank you enough for your commitment to our students.  Your willingness to volunteer your time is a testament to the strength and unity of our community.

I am incredibly proud to serve as the Principal of a school where parents, guardians, and community members come together with such passion and dedication. This support allows us to dream big for our students, as the funds raised will go directly into enhancing their learning experience. From reducing the costs of field trips, creating opportunities to bring in resident experts, to transforming our school library into a vibrant hub for innovation and exploration, your efforts will leave a lasting impact.

Thank you once again for your generosity, enthusiasm, and unwavering support. It is because of you that Cambrian Heights continues to be a vibrant, thriving place to learn and grow.

I am deeply proud to serve this community and look forward to celebrating these successes together in the months to come.

 With heartfelt appreciation,

 Todd Webber
