School Update:
Grade 3/4 Students Thrive at YMCA Healthy Living School!
Mr. Dang’s Grade 3/4 class recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Campus Calgary YMCA Healthy Living School – a weeklong learning experience that brings classroom curriculum to life through hands-on, active, and reflective learning.
Throughout the week, students explored what it means to live well – engaging in daily physical activities like skating, swimming, group fitness, and climbing, while also stretching their creativity through dance, drama, and visual art. They tackled leadership and team challenges designed to build communication, collaboration, and confidence, and each day was anchored by thoughtful reflections on themes like gratitude, mindfulness, and connection.
A huge thank you to our amazing parent volunteers – your support was essential in making this unforgettable learning experience possible!

Swimming Lessons – June 9 to 20
We’re excited to offer swimming lessons for all students from June 9–20 in partnership with Highwood Outdoor Pool! Learning to swim is a valuable life skill, and we’re grateful for this opportunity to build confidence and safety in the water.
A reminder that the City of Calgary Recreation supports inclusive practices in its aquatic spaces. In addition to traditional swimwear, non-traditional bathing attire such as long-sleeved shirts and pants, or cultural garments like saris and hijabs (with swimwear or undergarments underneath), is welcome. For safety, traditional garments must remain in the shallow end.
If your family requires financial support to help cover the cost of lessons, please reach out to us confidentially at cambrianheights@cbe.ab.ca

Heartfelt Thanks to Our Incredible Community…
Dear Cambrian Heights School Families,
I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support we received for our Elbow River Casino fundraiser, organized by our dedicated School Council. Because of your generosity and willingness to step up, they have filled almost every volunteer spot needed to secure nearly $80,000 in funding for our school. I cannot thank you enough for your commitment to our students. Your willingness to volunteer your time is a testament to the strength and unity of our community.
I am incredibly proud to serve as the Principal of a school where parents, guardians, and community members come together with such passion and dedication. This support allows us to dream big for our students, as the funds raised will go directly into enhancing their learning experience. From reducing the costs of field trips, creating opportunities to bring in resident experts, to transforming our school library into a vibrant hub for innovation and exploration, your efforts will leave a lasting impact.
Thank you once again for your generosity, enthusiasm, and unwavering support. It is because of you that Cambrian Heights continues to be a vibrant, thriving place to learn and grow.
I am deeply proud to serve this community and look forward to celebrating these successes together in the months to come.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Todd Webber
