School Update:
Gratitude for a Great Start & Exciting Times Ahead
As we head into winter break, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for the warm welcome and support I’ve experienced during my first few months as Principal of Cambrian Heights School. It’s been a pleasure getting to know the students, staff, and families in this incredible community. I truly appreciate how kind and engaged everyone has been as we’ve worked together to make this school year a positive one.
Our students continue to impress with their enthusiasm and dedication, and our staff’s hard work and care for every student do not go unnoticed. I’m also grateful to the families for your involvement and the positive energy you bring to the school.
A special thank you as well for the thoughtful feedback we received regarding the Winter Concert. We truly value your input and are focused on making next year’s performances even more student-centered based on what we’ve heard.
I’m excited for what the rest of the year will bring, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside all of you to create great experiences for our students. Wishing you all a wonderful winter break!
Pulse Studio Dance Residency Performance
A huge thank you to all the parents, guests, and families who attended the Pulse Studio Dance Residency showcase! We were so proud to witness the incredible performances from all grades, highlighting the hard work and creativity of our students. It was truly a celebration of dance and talent!
Throughout the residency, the principles of Hip Hop—respect, peace, unity, love, and fun—were emphasized and reinforced in every session. These values not only shaped the students’ performances but also fostered a positive and supportive atmosphere for all involved.
We’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our School Council for generously funding this enriching experience. Their support made this fantastic opportunity possible, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Here's to more exciting creative experiences ahead!
Final School Assembly of 2024: Celebrating Our Students
Our final school assembly of 2024 was a wonderful celebration of appreciation for our incredible students. We took time to recognize the outstanding contributions of our Grade 6 leaders, who played key roles at the Winter Concert & Holiday Market as hosts, stage managers, and organizers of the bake sale. Their hard work and dedication were truly invaluable, and we were proud to present them with certificates for their exceptional service.
We also celebrated the talented writers who contributed to our Publishers Showcase bulletin board. These students were awarded Cambrian Heights School lanyards as a token of appreciation for their creativity and dedication.
In addition, we demonstrated our appreciation for diversity by showcasing the traditions of different cultures. Groups of students shared a heartfelt video they created, highlighting their unique traditions around Hanukkah and Christmas. It was a beautiful reminder of the richness of our school community and the importance of celebrating each other's backgrounds and experiences.
Thank you to all the students for making 2024 such a memorable year, and we look forward to even more achievements in the year ahead!
Support With Basic Needs After the Holidays
As we move into the new year, we recognize that after especially after the holidays, some families may face challenges meeting basic needs. To support those in need, we’ve partnered with a local agency to help with food, and other essential services. If you or your family could use some supports, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at the school, and I will connect you with our partner.
Have a great winter break!!

Cambrian Heights Parent Association Update:
Next Meeting: January 23, 2025
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Please note that our School Council meeting on January 23, 2025, is also the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is one of the most important events for our School Council. At this meeting, elections for executive positions on School Council will take place, and all parents of students attending Cambrian Heights School are eligible for election. We are working with the school to provide an online option for parents to attend and participate. More information on that to come!
