A Huge Thank You to Our Parent Volunteers!
Over the past two weeks, our incredible parent volunteers have braved the cold to support classes attending Campus Calgary Open Minds (CCOM) experiences. This week, Ms. Andrews Grade 3/4 class, and Ms. Bauman’s Grade 1/2 class had the opportunity to immerse themselves in hands-on learning at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and 2School: An Urban Experience.
These enriching experiences would not be possible without the dedication of our parent volunteers. Your time, support, and willingness to learn alongside our students make a huge difference—we are so grateful for you! Thank you for being an essential part of our school community.

Did you know? Cambrian Heights School Has a 3-D Printer!
Tucked away in our school was a hidden gem - our very own 3D printer! It wasn’t being used, so I knew we had to bring it to life. While we wait for updated software on our school computers to fully operate it, one of our Grade 6 leaders, Beck, took the initiative to bring his own device and get it up and running.
On Friday, Beck gave a hands-on demonstration to some curious students, and together they successfully 3D printed a boat—just in time for our upcoming STEAM Night! We’re excited to see what else we can create once our technology is fully updated! Stay tuned for more 3D printing adventures at Cambrian Heights.

Upcoming STEAM Family Evening at Cambrian Heights School
You are invited to our Cambrian Heights School STEAM family evening on Thursday, February 20 from 6:00PM - 7:30PM. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
STEAM learning and the Design Thinking process go hand in hand, with five key steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Join us for an evening of hands-on fun where you and your child, along with other families, will tackle a STEAM design and building challenge. Get ready to dive in and create together!
All students must have a family member who is 18+ to supervise during this evening. Please complete the 2-minute RSVP below to let us know how many people from your family to expect. There is no charge for the evening.

Cambrian Heights School Spirit Wear Returns!
Back by popular demand, our online clothing store will open again on Monday, January 27 and be available to purchase items until Friday, February 7. Teachers will be sending home the link to the online store, and we will send a School Messenger notification with more details.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our School Council AGM on Thursday, January 23! We’re excited to share that our council is now offering an online option for families to join the meetings. Last night, we had nearly 20 people attend in total, both in person and online.
Moving forward, we’ll continue to send out a link to all families so you can easily join the meetings from wherever is most convenient for you. Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement!
