School Update:
Celebrating our AMA School Safety Patrollers
This week, we celebrated our amazing AMA School Safety Patrol team with a well-deserved pizza lunch! These dedicated student leaders brave all kinds of weather to help keep our school community safe, and we are so proud of their commitment and responsibility.
Their work is incredibly important – they help ensure that students cross safely and that traffic around the school stays calm and orderly. We can all support their efforts by following their directions at the crosswalk, waiting patiently, and modeling respectful behaviour. Thank you for helping us make safety a priority at Cambrian Heights School!
Swimming Lessons for Grades 1-6 Coming in June!
We’re excited to share that all students in Grades 1 through 6 will be participating in a week of swimming lessons in mid-June! Learning how to swim is not only a vital life skill, but it also builds confidence, promotes physical fitness, and helps students stay safe around water.
This $18,000 learning experience is made possible thanks to the incredible support of our School Council, who are generously covering more than half of the total cost. To help cover part of the remaining amount, there will be a $20 fee per student, which families can pay through their MyCBE parent account.
If you require support with this fee, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office – we’re happy to help.
Routine Immunizations – Happening Next Week
Alberta Health Services (AHS) will be at the school next week to provide routine immunizations for eligible students. AHS has already contacted the families of students who will be receiving immunizations.
If you have any questions about your child’s immunization status, please contact our school office (403-777-6150). We’d be happy to forward your inquiry to our Public Health Nurse.
Kindergarten is Looking for a Wooden Dollhouse
Our Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Harich, is hoping to add a wooden dollhouse to her classroom play area to support imaginative play and storytelling. If you have a gently used wooden dollhouse that you’d be willing to donate, we’d love to give it a new home!
Please reach out to the school office if you have one to contribute—thank you for your support!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Our Casino Fundraiser is coming up quickly and we need your help!
Our casino this year is on Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20, 2025 and we are in need of 40 volunteers to make it a success. This is such an important fundraiser for our school! Every volunteer receives a free meal during their shift and there are free snacks in the volunteer lounge! Please know, each person that volunteers for the casino generates two thousand dollars for Cambrian Heights School.

Please contact the School Council at cambrian.schoolcouncil@gmail.com with any questions.
